Requirements for adding refrigerant to industrial water chiller system

After the industrial water chiller system passes the vacuum test, the vacuum state in the system can be used for refrigerant filling.
1、 Refrigerant charging
For the newly installed system, the refrigerant can be added from the high-pressure end, and the operation method is as follows:
1) Start the cooling water system for the condenser, and the valves in the system shall be kept in the state of vacuum test.
2) 14mm to the west × Connect the steel cylinder containing refrigerant with 2mm seamless steel pipe (red copper pipe is used when filling Freon). The bottle mouth is tilted downward, the cylinder is at a 30 ° angle to the ground, or the tail of the cylinder is raised about 200~300mm.
3) Open the charging valve. When a certain pressure is reached in the system (0.1~0.2 MPa for ammonia system and 0.2~0.3 MPa for Freon system), the refrigerant filling shall be suspended, and then the sealing condition of the system shall be checked at each connection and welding point. If there is no leakage, the refrigerant filling can be continued.
4) Close the outlet valve on the liquid receiver and continue to fill the refrigerant. When the cylinder pressure and the pressure in the liquid receiver reach a balance, open the outlet valve on the liquid receiver.

5) Start the refrigerator, put the refrigeration device into operation, and continue to charge refrigerant at the same time. When there is white frost at the lower part of the cylinder, it means that the liquid refrigerant in the cylinder has nearly been charged. At this time, the cylinder valve and the charging valve can be closed, and the cylinder can be replaced to continue charging.
6) Unless the outside temperature is very low, it is generally not necessary to pour hot water on the cylinder to increase the pressure in the cylinder when filling the refrigerant, because it is not safe to do so. If it is necessary to accelerate the filling speed, the temperature of hot water shall not exceed 50 ℃ and other methods of heating the cylinder shall be strictly prohibited.
7) When filling Freon, a drying filter must be set on the special nozzle to reduce the possibility of water entering the system. When using high-pressure section filling, do not start the compressor, and pay attention to the leakage of the exhaust valve, otherwise liquid hammer will occur.
8) When the refrigerant filling reaches 90% of the filling dose, the filling work can be temporarily stopped and the system test run can be carried out to check whether the system dose has met the operation requirements and avoid unnecessary trouble caused by excessive filling. For the old refrigeration system, if the refrigerant needs to be replenished, the low pressure end should be charged.
2、 Leak detection after filling
(1) The test paper leak detection method generally uses phenolphthalein test paper to detect the leakage at the welded junction, flange, threaded joint, etc. of the system. After wetting the test paper, it is close to the tested place. If it turns red, it means that there is ammonia leakage (pay attention to avoid the illusion of contact between the test paper and the soapy water on the pipe). You can also use litmus test paper that turns blue in case of ammonia.
(2) Halogen blowtorch leak detection method Halogen blowtorch is a common tool for leak detection of Freon refrigeration system. The domestic halogen blowtorch is shown in the following figure, and the use method is as follows:
1. Add alcohol: first unscrew the base 1, add anhydrous alcohol with purity not less than 99.5% to the inside of the cylinder, but the injection amount should not be too much, just fill 1/2~3/4 of the volume of the lamp cylinder, and then tighten the base quickly.
2. Make a fire: turn the handwheel 2 to the right, close the valve core, fill the glass with wine, and then light it to heat the lamp barrel and the upper part of the blowtorch. After heating a little, check whether the blowtorch leaks.
3. Ignition: When the alcohol in the beaker is nearly burned, turn the handwheel 2 to the left for one turn, and ignite the alcohol volatile gas in the nozzle in the flame ring 4. At this time, the suction hose 6 of the halogen lamp will emit the sound of gas inhalation, and then start to use the lamp to detect the leak.
4. Use: during the inspection, the nozzle of the suction hose 6 is close to the inspected place and moves slowly. If there is leakage of Freon gas, it will decompose in case of flame. At this time, the orange-red flame will turn green. The color change of the flame will vary with the amount of Freon leakage. The darker the color is, the more serious the Freon leakage is.
