Analyze and understand some effects of moisture on air-cooled screw chillers

Understanding the impact of dampness on air-cooled screw chillers can provide targeted moisture and waterproofing measures for chiller equipment to avoid major problems affecting the normal progress of industrial production. How to comprehensively "protect" air-cooled screw chillers:
1. Timely wipe the condensed water outside the equipment
Condensate is generated when the air temperature drops below the dew point temperature, typically near condensers and cooling water pipes. In rainy weather, when the air humidity is low, it is easy to generate condensate, which can pose a potential risk to nearby pipes and lines. Timely cleaning is beneficial to the waterproof and moisture proof of the equipment.
2. Regularly check the condition of water pump and pipeline interfaces
The internal pipes of the water cooling unit are complex, with both refrigerant and water circulation channels. By regularly checking external equipment and connections for leaks and damage, it is beneficial to prevent leakage of cooling water and adversely affect the equipment.
3. Conduct conditional indoor dehumidification

In overcast and rainy weather, due to the high humidity of the external air, it is not easy to adopt ventilation and moisture removal methods. However, indoor moisture absorption is beneficial to reducing workshop humidity.
4. Pay attention to rainproof and waterproof at the fixed position of the water chiller
Some screw chillers are directly exposed to the outside and fixed on the ground below the water level, so they are vulnerable to rainstorm and flood, causing some parts of the chillers to be often exposed to rain and damp. The chiller should be installed inside the workshop as much as possible. If it is necessary to work outdoors due to production issues, rainproof facilities should be installed to avoid the intrusion of overcast and rainy weather.
