What is the working principle of Dalian air source heat pump unit?
In today's era of pursuing high efficiency, energy conservation, and comfortable living, air source heat pump units, as a new type of heating and cooling equipment, are gradually entering people's vision and playing an important role. Its unique working principle contains exquisite thermodynamic wisdom.
The core operation of air source heat pump units is based on the reverse Carnot cycle. There are key components such as evaporator, compressor, condenser, and expansion valve inside the unit, which work together to transfer heat.
Firstly, the evaporator section is the starting point for heat collection. When the outside air flows through the evaporator, the refrigerant inside is in a low-temperature and low-pressure state, with strong heat absorption and gasification ability. The heat of the air is rapidly absorbed by the refrigerant, which evaporates into a low-temperature and low-pressure gas. Just like in hot summer days, alcohol evaporates on the skin and takes away heat, the refrigerant "extracts" heat from the air here.

Next, the low-temperature and low-pressure gaseous refrigerant is sucked into the compressor. The compressor is like the "heart" of the entire system, strongly compressing gaseous refrigerants. This process causes a sharp increase in the temperature and pressure of the refrigerant, transforming it into a high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous state. At this time, electrical energy is mainly used to drive the compressor and provide energy for the state transition of the refrigerant.
Subsequently, the high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous refrigerant enters the condenser. The condenser is usually located on the indoor side, where the refrigerant releases the high heat absorbed and compressed before, and transfers it to the circulating water or air indoors, causing the indoor temperature to rise. It then condenses into a high-temperature and high-pressure liquid, completing the supply of heat.
High temperature and high pressure liquid refrigerant is throttled and depressurized through an expansion valve. After passing through the expansion valve, the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant decrease significantly, returning to a low-temperature and low-pressure liquid state, and returning to the evaporator to start the next round of heat absorption cycle.
Through this repetitive cycle, the air source heat pump unit cleverly extracts heat from the air and efficiently transfers it indoors, achieving stable heating at lower energy consumption. In cooling mode, simply change the direction of refrigerant flow through a four-way reversing valve to transfer indoor heat to the outside, achieving cooling effect. Air source heat pump units provide an innovative and sustainable solution for the cooling and heating needs of modern life due to their environmental friendliness, efficiency, and flexibility.
